The Prix du CIQ and the Mérite du CIQ are prestigious symbols of recognition for the professionals to whom they are awarded.

The Prix du CIQ is awarded to an experienced professional in Québec in recognition of the excellence of her or his contribution to the professional system (list of laureates).

The Mérite du CIQ is awarded on the recommendation of the professional orders and is remitted to their members who have distinguished themselves by service on behalf of their profession and professional order.

Since 2002, the La Personnelle general insurance company has been associated with the Council by sponsoring the production and awarding of works of art to symbolize the Prix and the Mérite awards.
